Progress You Cannot See
A stonemason does not see the finished stone while he is chipping. He trusts the process. He has seen other men finish stones. He knows the shape is in there. He also knows that most of the work looks like nothing is happening.
Some weeks the only evidence of progress is that a man kept going. He did not quit. He did not switch to an easier project. He stayed with the same rough edge, making the same small correction, and it still looks the same.
That is the work. It does not announce itself. The men who get somewhere in this Craft are not the ones who saw results the fastest. They are the ones who kept swinging when there was nothing to show for it.

There were some interesting considerations in the "Sword of Truth" series specifically referring to the process of revealing the beauty within. Great post Brother.
